New Street Lighting from Pecan Solar
A new product developed in conjunction with Pierlite, enabling Minor Street Lighting to be power by the sun for the first time. In the past the amount of light given out by Solar Powered lights has not met the Federal Standards for Street Lighting. But with the development of a new, low powered bulb, used in conjunction with a highly effective lens and casing, Pecan Solar has been able to produce this light which has the potential to revolutionise Street Lighting.
Unlike a traditional Stand Alone solar light:
A grid tied solar light is:
Connected to the mains power
Does not require a battery!
Generates energy when the sun shines, Exports energy to the electricity grid
Consumes energy at night, as per a conventional street light.
Is totally reliable and has a long life expectancy.
Uses lamps which are more energy efficient and contain less hazardous materials (ie mercury vapour lights)
Advantages of a Grid Connected Solar Light
Unlimited lamp wattage enabling any lighting standard and application to be met.
Utilizes all available solar energy summer and winter, even in the most arduous of weather conditions
Maximises solar energy available
No Ongoing battery replacements
Maintenance equivalent to conventional streetlights
A positive visual statement of your commitment to the environment and renewable energy
The solar panels operate independently to the light fitting.
